At the nominating convention, DeLude said Berlin could become the moral center of the state and not just its geographic center.

He said it is "a model for responsive, accountable, citizen-focused leadership and local government."

DeLude said local government "cannot feel like a private club but rather the public trust that it is."

"This isn’t just a campaign. It’s a movement — energized, inclusive, and laser-focused on delivering the government Berlin deserves," wrote Berlin Democrats in a statement. "Now’s the time to get involved, get loud, and get moving."
