Berlin Mayoral Hopeful Planning Labor Day Walk

BERLIN, CT — Democratic Berlin mayoral hopeful Brian DeLude has announced a Labor Day walk through town on Monday, Sept. 1, with folks encouraged to join him.

It is called a “Walk Across Berlin,” and DeLude, a current Berlin Board of Education member, said it will bring neighbors, businesses, and community organizations together.

The walk will begin in South Kensington, continue through the center of Berlin, proceed into East Berlin, and finish with a town hall event at a yet-to-be-determined venue.

Along the way, DeLude will meet with residents, listen to their concerns, and answer questions directly.

“This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the role that the labor movement has played in shaping our communities,” DeLude said. “And we’re honoring that legacy by putting in the work for a better Berlin—step by step, conversation by conversation.”

Supporters are encouraged to join the walk, knock on doors, put up a lawn sign, and help connect with neighbors throughout the day.

“This campaign is about accountability, balance, and community,” DeLude continued. “There’s no better way to live that out than by walking alongside residents in every corner of our town.”
