BERLIN, CT — If you're adept at blowing a whistle and don't have any qualms about making tough decisions, the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department has a job for you.The department is accepting applications for basketball referees for the boys' and girls' youth basketball program on Saturdays. The program starts in December, and budding officials must be at least 15 years old. In addition, the town is also looking for basketball assistants to help with the Kindergarten through second-grade instructional program. That program starts in January.
