Bosso Being Honored In D.C.

Berlin's Dave Bosso is in Washington D.C. being honored with finalists for 2012 National Teacher of the Year.

Bosso was selected as Berlin's Teacher of the Year and then State of Connecticut Teacher of the Year. He teaches social studies and is a former coach at Berlin High School.

Bosso arrived in D.C. with his wife Jen Bosso, also a teacher at BHS, and enjoyed some sightseeing with Teacher of the Year winners from other states.

Tonght, his itinerary calls for him to attend a reception hosted by Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, at their residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory.

On Tuesday President Barack Obama will announe the National Teacher of the Year finalists. A national committee then selects the National Teacher of the Year from that list of finalists.
