Crews extinguished a brush fire that spread to a large barn Tuesday night in Berlin, according to fire officials.

BERLIN, CT — Crews extinguished a brush fire that spread to a large detached barn Tuesday night in Berlin, according to fire officials.

All four fire companies responded to the fire around 9:20 p.m. on Four Rod Road, according to a post on the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page.

“First arriving units found a 10 by 30 foot area of built up leaves and yard debris on fire, with fire spreading to the lower portion of an exterior wall of the barn,” officials wrote in the post. “The fire was quickly put under control and overhauled.

“No immediate cause was determined, the town's fire marshal's office was on scene for the investigation.”
