Cadillac-Driving Bank Robbery Suspect In Custody: Berlin PD
The North Haven man turned himself in to police on Wednesday for the New Year's Eve robbery.

BERLIN, CT — Local police said Thursday they have the Cadillac-driving bank robbery suspect in custody regarding last week's New Year's Eve incident.
The Berlin Police Department said Thomas Marra, 54, of Washington Avenue, North Haven, turned himself in to police on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in connection with the robbery of a Webster Bank branch in Berlin on Dec. 31, 2025.
The BPD said Marra was charged with second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny and is being held on $150,000 bond.

He was to be arraigned in New Britain Superior Court on Thursday, Jan. 8, police said.
At 10:03 a.m., New Year's Eve, the BPD was called to the Webster Bank Branch at 40 Webster Square Road, Berlin, for a report of a bank robbery.

Police said a male suspect standing 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing 240 pounds entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, threatening the use of a firearm in the process.
It was never indicated if any money was taken or how much.
According to the BPD, the suspect was seen leaving the area in a gray 2020 Cadillac CT6 with Connecticut plates.
Shortly after the robbery, police released information identifying Marra as the suspect.
During the investigation, which was done in conjunction with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials, two search-and-seizure warrants were executed at a North Haven residence.
In addition, police found the Cadillac there as well.
This led to an arrest warrant being granted Jan. 2 and Marra turning himself in to police on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
