Fresh from recent winning performances, the Berlin High School Jazz Band will be performing once again, this time at “Jazz with Pizzazz” being held at Berlin High School on Saturday, June 2 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The BHS Jazz Band recently performed at the Six Flags Music in the Parks competition with a rating of “Superior,” winning not only first place in their class but also earning the title of Best Overall Jazz Band at the competition. Prior to this, they performed at the Berklee Jazz Festival in Boston, Massachusetts earlier this year where they ranked eleventh at this very prestigious festival, an excellent showing for the band’s first time in a national competition.

Jazz with Pizzazz will feature the Berlin High School Jazz Band and local jazz professionals Frankenfrenz. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors; the evening will feature dessert and coffee and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the band program at Berlin High School.
