Importance Of Play Topic Of Berlin Parents Program
'Little Learners: Play Is Their Superpower' is Thursday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 7:03 p.m. at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library.
BERLIN, CT — A special workshop for parents/caregivers of children will help them learn how to teach their children new ways to play that promote personal growth.
Called "Little Learners: Play Is Their Superpower," the program is on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 7:03 p.m. at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, 234 Kensington Road, Berlin.
Though the program deals with children's play, it is designed for adults and is meant to be an educational tool for parents/guardians, who are encouraged to not bring their children.

The program will be hosted by Cheryl LaMothe, an early childhood specialist with EASTCONN, which is a Hampton-based regional educational services nonprofit.
She has many years of experience in a variety of roles and currently works to support educators through coaching.

Issues discussed are geared toward children aged birth to 6 years old.
Participants will be able to:
• Discover fun, interactive activities that promote key developmental skills like problem-solving, creativity, communication, and social-emotional learning.
• Learn how everyday playtime can transform into powerful learning moments.
• Get expert insights, practical tips, and engaging exercises designed to boost your child’s confidence and curiosity.
"Join us in embracing play as the ultimate superpower for your little learner’s development," reads an event announcement.
The program is presented in collaboration with the Berlin Public Schools and funded through the generosity of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain.
