On Saturday, April 7, the BHS boy's lacrosse team made its varsity debut away at Farmington. Although Farmington won the game, 11-5, Coach Scott Rossi took quite a few positives away from the loss:
"I was pleased with how our goalie, Matt Cote, played," Rossi said. "He made 12 stops, and most of those were at close range. I also liked how hard our seniors Brandon Ralph and Ryan Wearne worked; it seemed like they were everywhere on the field.
"Tyler Bouchard caused five turnovers on defense and cleared the ball well for us. We have a lot of new faces on this team, and as they continue to practice and play together they'll become much more competitive."
Berlin hosts their first varsity boys' lacrosse game against Rocky Hill on Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
