BERLIN, CT — The local police department is hosting a free special training program that just might help others save lives.

The Berlin Police Department is hosting its "Berlin Community Overdose Prevention & Narcan Training" at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, 234 Kensington Road, Berlin, on Thursday, July 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This is free with dinner provided for the program, which aims to teach folks how to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, which is often fatal if untreated.

In addition, participants will receive free Narcan and harm reduction supplies as well as learn about the horrific effects of the ongoing opioid addiction crisis.
