BERLIN, CT — One of Berlin's most historic buildings is having a big birthday, one that is almost concurrent with that of the U.S.

Folks are being asked to join the town as it celebrates 250 years of the Worthington Meeting House on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the site, which is at 723 Worthington Ridge, Berlin.

The day will include a proclamation from Berlin Mayor Mark Kaczynski and an outdoor performance by the local theater group.

"You can learn of the discord that arose among townspeople during the 19th century," wrote event organizers.
