He charted many courses throughout Long Island Sound and the New England Coastline. He was past commodore of the Mystic Yacht Club and involved with the New Britain Power Squadron. Carlo enjoyed traveling with his wife Carol to Italy and the Caribbean, and in 2006 cruised from England to NY on the Queen Mary. He and Carol spent their winter months at their second home on the beach in Hillsboro Beach, FL, where he made a great deal of friends. He became involved with the mayor of Hillsboro Beach and he was able to have funds appropriated so that he could design and have built an additional bocce court and gathering place for the community to enjoy.
