Boy's tennis team continues to improve with another win.

 

BOY'S TENNIS

Berlin 6, Windsor 1

The team had to scramble as three players were out of the normal starting line-up.

Jaydip Patel remained undefeated at number four singles leading a sweep of the singles matches. James Wall and Zach Mayer moved up to number two doubles and came back to win a three set match. Rich Schlichting came back to team with Karol Zawadski to win at number three doubles.

The boys have two more matches next week, Monday vs. Tolland and Tuesday vs. Brookfield both with 6 p.m. start times.

BOY'S LACROSSE

Berlin 12, Windsor 11

The boy's lacrosse team came away with a 12-11 overtime victory against a physical Windsor Warriors program on Friday night at Windsor High School. 

The Redcoats tied the game up in thrilling fashion with three seconds left in the fourth quarter when senior Ryan Wearne scored on a wrap-around shot from behind the goal. 

Berlin won the game late in the first overtime with a beautifully placed shot by freshmen, Sean Sullivan.

GIRL'S LACROSSE

Windsor 13, Berlin 7

Windsor defeated Berlin 13-7. Shannon Murphy led the offense with three goals followed by two goals from Cassidy Goodwin. Olivia Martino and Robyn Riggott both scored a solo goal.

The deense of Riggott was solid.

Windsor goalie Katie Mcloughlin was great in goal.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BASEBALL

McGee 7, Cromwell 1

The Spartans improved to 8-0 with a victory over Cromwell. 

Nick Naples, Jon Beckman and Jack Kane all pitched well. Jake McCarthy, Alex Dastoli, Connor Ladd, and Andrew Charboneau delivered important hits. 

Jared Zima and Anthony Adamciewicz played well defensively.
