"What a great job by the girls," Berlin coach Jim Barnes said. "Today I saw a new intensity in the their faces. They know what is ahead over the next two weeks: our rematch against Farmington for the conference title next Wednesday, the CCC Tournament next Thursday and finally the State Tournament on June 5. It's the most important two weeks of the whole season and the girls know it.
"At this point in the season Julia Kemmling is simply unconscious. She is only four-over par for her last 36 holes of competitive golf. This young lady is so polite and so gracious. She looks like she should be on the cover of a teen magazine, but put a golf club in her hand and she will cut your heart out. I have never seen a kid where the competitive fires burn so brightly. It is something special to watch."
