BERLIN, CT — Like many law enforcement communities in Connecticut, the Berlin Police Department is participating in the annual Connecticut Special Olympics Torch Run.

Sadly, however, it appears some thieves and/or vandals have stolen roadside signs that are supposed to designate the torch run route, the BPD said Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the signs were "purchased" by event sponsors as part of the fundraising campaign, and the BPD wants the public's help to catch the crooks.
