Tractor Trailer Cab Stolen In Berlin, Torched In New Haven: Police

The Berlin Police Department is seeking the public's help in investigating the theft, which was last Sunday, March 30.

BERLIN/NEW HAVEN, CT — Local police are investigating the theft of a large tractor trailer cab from a Berlin truck dealership Sunday, with the truck eventually found torched in New Haven.

According to the Peterbilt Dealership in Berlin, located at 206 Meadow Lane, the vehicle was a red "589 tractor" that was stolen at about 4:30 p.m.

The dealership and the Berlin Police Department said a white Dodge Mega Cab vehicle appears to be a vehicle of interest connected with the theft.

According to the dealership, the stolen red truck was found with the "interior torched" on Sunday night in New Haven.

The Berlin Police Department, meanwhile, reposted a social media post on the theft, saying they are actively investigating.
