Twice As Nice For Berlin Little Leaguers

For the first time in Berlin Little League history, two of the Berlin All Star teams won the District 5 Banner. 

On Saturday, the Berlin 9-10 year old district team won the District 5 championship and moved onto the Sectionals for Connecticut which starts Wednesday. 

The Berlin 11-year olds won on Sunday to claim the District 5 banner as well for Berlin Little League.  Both teams played against their respective Edgewood Little League counterparts to claim the championships.  The 11 year old team starts their CT sectional play next Wednesday. 

"With fan support like we had today, there is no question that the kids were pumped up to bring home another banner for Mr. Petit and Berlin," said Vin Biscoglio, Manager of the Berlin 11 squad. "Our town is well represented by kids that give it their all and play with a great deal of class."
