The Sage Park pond was circled with young fishermen and women ages 8 to 10 hoping to catch a big one Saturday morning as fishing season began.

Two trout were tagged and if caught the Parks and Recreation Dept. would award a $50 gift certificate. Only one was caught but the other gift certificate was raffled off.

Raffle prizes, such as fishing poles and tackle boxes, were also awarded throughout the derby.
