1928 Cocktail Club Owner, Bartender Finalist For CT Restaurant Award

BRANFORD, CT — He's the bartender, and the owner. And now, a finalist in the Connecticut Restaurant Association's 2023 CRAZIES awards, which recognizes excellence in the Connecticut hospitality industry.

Frank Dean is the man behind, and at the bar, of the 1928 Cocktail Club, an authentic speakeasy that opened in Branford in 2022. Dean was named a finalist in the statewide contest set to be celebrated at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket Dec. 4. Learn more here.

The awards' selection process started in August with an online public nomination process and state-wide chef panel. Then, some 40 food writers, critics, bloggers, and influencers met and the list of 2023 honorees and nominees was inked.

Under the category Bartender of the Year find Frank Dean and 1928 Cocktail Club.
