• Branford Firefighters Douse Chicken Coop Fire On Cut In Two Island, Part of Thimble Island Archipelago (patch.com) — Branford firefighters juggled multiple emergencies while racing by fire boat to a chicken coop blaze on Cut In Two Island in the Thimble Islands. Crews quickly knocked down the fire, prevented further property damage, and ensured all eight chickens were safe, while coordinating with the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter for temporary relocation.
