"This little bunny was found with his ears intentionally cut off at the hands of humans and then if that wasn't bad enough, they abandoned him outside, frightened and alone," Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter.

BRANFORD, CT — Some days are worse than others. And at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford, the worst days are ones when pets have been dumped, abandoned by their humans, and often, suffering from injury.

"Just when you thought you couldn’t be more disgusted by people," a Shelter social media caption about an abandoned pet bunny reads.

"This little bunny was found with his ears intentionally cut off at the hands of humans and then if that wasn't bad enough, they abandoned him outside, frightened and alone," DCAS wrote on Facebook. "We just don’t know what to say any longer about the human race."
