In a Facebook post, staff is pleading on his behalf.

"We know we have talked endlessly about Bo and his terrible journey . But Bo is seriously losing hope now and it is so unfair.
Bo was found as a stray and nice people helped him because he had an embedded collar and needed medical care . We took Bo in and found out he was also heartworm positive. Dogs that are tied outside and not given heartworm medication are high risk for heartworm disease . Bo is being treated by us and has already begun this process but having a medical issue and being at the shelter for so long is causing depression in Bo.
At one point we believed Bo found his forever family but after a week of being home they said “ he was too much “ . Dogs need to be walked - yes even in snow , rain etc . Dogs need activities and stimulation and training and time to decompress… 7 days is not long enough .
After Bo was returned , he became depressed but now his depression has become so much worse.
Bo needs a forever home … in fact he is now begging for one . Bo liked dogs when he first came in but now he is barking at them . Bo likes children and probably 8 years and older would be good just because of Bos size but he loves to play so they would have fun ! Bo would rather live without cats too . Bo is 2 years old , a yellow lab mix and about 50 pounds . Once he is heartworm negative , we will pay to have him neutered . He is vaccinated as well .
Bo has been in a kennel for over 90 days and he’s imploring you to share his story so he can find his forever family .
Please help us … applications can be found at www.branfordanimalshelter.org"
