'Borrowed' By Workers For An Afternoon, Marlowe Found His Forever Home

The idea was to bring "borrowed" shelter dog Marlowe to the public works building to hang out with staff while they were doing paperwork.

"This is not only great for the employees, but it is also great for shelter dogs to get the exposure to new people and new things," Shelter staff posted to Facebook. And you know what else happened by being there?

BRANFORD, CT — Recently, workers from the town's Department of Public Works stopped by Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter to "borrow a dog." The idea was to bring the pup to bring to the public works building for the afternoon to hang out with staff while they were doing paperwork, the Shelter posted to Facebook.

"This is not only great for the employees, but it is also great for shelter dogs to get the exposure to new people and new things," Shelter staff posted. "And you know what else happened by being there?"

What happened is that Marlowe, the dog that spent the afternoon with workers, "found himself a forever home."
