Branford Action Sports Holds Pancake Bike Ride

From Action Sports of Branford: Action Sports of Branford invites all road cyclists to join their first annual Pancake Ride, Saturday, April 29th at 9 a.m. at 324 West Main Street, Route 1, Branford, CT. This free event includes a 30-mile road ride to the Guilford Green and back followed by a hot pancake breakfast served up by the Action Sports staff.

Ride leaders will push off promptly at 9 a.m. so cyclists should get there a bit earlier as all riders must sign a waiver. There will be two groups—A and B pace, no drop with a sweep. After the ride, participants will be treated to pancakes, real maple syrup, coffee, tea and juice. All cyclists are required to wear a CPSC rated helmet, ride single file and obey traffic rules. It is highly suggested that you also bring two water bottles, a spare tube and an emergency repair kit.

Action Sports Inc. has been in business and at their current location since 1976 selling mostly ski equipment and apparel. Since then, it has grown into an all-season sporting goods store also carrying kayaks, swimwear and paddleboards. In 2010, they added an additional 3,000 square feet and opened our Giant GPS Bicycle Center which carries road, mountain, and kids bikes and now electric bikes in addition to parts and apparel. The also carry Liv Bikes, which is a brand dedicated to women from the design of the bikes to the fit of the clothing.
