Branford Resident Lands Role in New Plays Festival
Branford resident Michael DeMaio was cast in the Spring 2017 New Plays Festival.

From Curry College: Curry College is pleased to announce that Branford, Conn., resident Michael DeMaio was cast in the Spring 2017 New Plays Festival. Michael, a senior Communication major and son of Pamela and David DeMaio, played the role of Michael Collins in “Houston, We Have a Problem” and Andrew in “What Are Your Symptoms?” Michael was also the writer of “Thursday Night Fever.” This is his first Curry College theatrical performance.
The seventh annual New Plays Festival showcased five new student-written one act plays directed by Gail Phaneuf and Marcy Holbrook. For more information on the Curry Theatre program, visit curry.edu/theatre.
