Branford Rotarians Team With Agencies To Keep Children Warm
The Branford Rotary, Feed Branford Kids, Operation Warm, and New Haven Rotary distribute free children's winter coats to families in need.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Rotary Club has partnered with Feed Branford Kids, Operation Warm, and the New Haven Rotary to distribute free children's winter coats to families in need, the club announced.
Branford Rotary purchased 228 coats, more than 100 of which the Club has sent to New Haven, where the need is particularly acute.
In Branford, Rotarians began distributing coats last week at Feed Branford Kids’ offices, 11 Business Park Drive. The club continues the give-away every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. until the all winter jackets are gone.

On the first night, Rotarians Chip Marsh, Chuck O'Connor, and Tery Elton were on hand to help parents choose sizes and colors for their children.
"It’s heartbreaking to see someone shivering on the sidewalk when we can do something about it," Marsh said. He spearheaded the program for Branford Rotary. "Having food and warmth are basic needs, and there are kids going around in Branford without those things. We wanted to reach those families and at least provide them with some warmth."
