Branford Scouting (Cub Pack 633, Troop 633/1633 & Venturing 633)

Branford Scouting has been building citizenship, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure in youth for over 10 years, serving ages 5–20 through four dynamic programs. Through experiential learning, Branford scouts experience adventures from ice climbing to sailing in the Florida Keys, with campouts all year round for our older scouts. Our commitment to country is reflected in where we meet—serving our veterans at Branford’s VFW Post 12106—and through meaningful experiences like our recent trip to Washington, D.C., where scouts participated in the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and presented a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes. Our younger Cub Scouts also demonstrate patriotism by marching in parades and placing flags at cemeteries, just like their older peers. They enjoy fun and discovery at weekly meetings and through memorable outings, such as an overnight at the Norwalk Maritime Center, sleeping aboard the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts, and exploring the EcoTarium museum. This year, our Cubs will experience an evening at the New England Air Museum. Branford Scouting services the town of Branford and well beyond. BRANFORD, CT - A dog is missing somewhere in Branford and the Dan Cosgrove is looking for your help in finding him. A drive around Branford on Saturday also found scores of signs asking for help in finding the dog. Here is what the shelter says on social media: "Charlie is still LOST in Branford! "The last sighting we had was yesterday. Please if you see Charlie call 203-315-4125 so we know where he is. "Because Charlie is most likely in survival mode is area he is hiding in could be larger than last time so please all of our Branford residents keep your eyes peeled! "Please also do not chase, yell or call Charlie's name. At this point he is fearful and will continue to run further away if pushed. Thanks for your help!!"
