Branford Scouting (Cub Pack 633, Troop 633/1633 & Venturing 633)

Branford Scouting has been building citizenship, leadership skills, and a spirit of adventure in youth for over 10 years, serving ages 5–20 through four dynamic programs. Through experiential learning, Branford scouts experience adventures from ice climbing to sailing in the Florida Keys, with campouts all year round for our older scouts. Our commitment to country is reflected in where we meet—serving our veterans at Branford’s VFW Post 12106—and through meaningful experiences like our recent trip to Washington, D.C., where scouts participated in the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and presented a wreath in honor of our fallen heroes. Our younger Cub Scouts also demonstrate patriotism by marching in parades and placing flags at cemeteries, just like their older peers. They enjoy fun and discovery at weekly meetings and through memorable outings, such as an overnight at the Norwalk Maritime Center, sleeping aboard the World War II battleship USS Massachusetts, and exploring the EcoTarium museum. This year, our Cubs will experience an evening at the New England Air Museum. Branford Scouting services the town of Branford and well beyond. BRANFORD, CT - The Branford Police Department has already been recognized as the top fundraising department in the state for Special Olympics. But on Monday the department outdid itself at the annual "Tip A Cop" event Lenny's. Officer Joe Herten has this to say about the event: "Tip A Cop was a huge success!! "We raised just north of $20,000, which is the most we've ever raised and the most in the state thus far. "This accomplishment would not have been possible without the loyal support of so many people, to include the generosity of residents and business owners in Branford and surrounding community. "Thank you to all who came out to support the event and and donated.''
