2-Alarm Fire Damages Home In Bridgeport: Fire Officials

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire early Friday at a home in the 100 block of Hillside Avenue, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the 12:45 a.m. blaze, but firefighters saw heavy fire when they arrived at the two-and-a-half story home, which prompted the second alarm.

The fire was brought under control in less than an hour, and the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating its cause.

Representatives from the American Red Cross are assisting one displaced adult with finding temporary housing, according to fire officials.
