Apartment Fire Displaces Nearly A Dozen In Bridgeport: FD

The weekend fire was reported on Pembroke Street, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An apartment fire Saturday in the 1100 block of Pembroke Street in Bridgeport resulted in the displacement of 10 residents and a pet dog, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the 3:30 p.m. fire, which was reported on the building's third floor.

"Upon arrival, units located the fire and quickly extinguished it," officials said in a statement.

American Red Cross representatives Mike Griffin, Dana Nedab and Maitri Gandhi are assisting the displaced residents, according to the relief agency.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office.
