2 Teens Shot As Bridgeport House Party Ends In Violence
Police responded to several reports of gunfire in the neighborhood around a house party in Bridgeport. Suspects remained at large Saturday.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two teens were wounded, one in critical condition, in a shooting at a Bridgeport house party Friday night, and police continue to search for the shooter or shooters.
Officers responded to reports of several rounds of gunfire and found a 15-year-old shooting victim and several crime scenes in the neighborhood around a large house party at 300 block of Bunnell Street Friday shortly before 10:30 p.m., according to the Bridgeport Police Department.
It started at about 10:25 p.m. when the police received multiple reports of more than 20 rounds of gunfire within the 300 block of Bunnell Street. Twenty minutes later, the gunshot detection system ShotSpotter alerted police to more gunfire two blocks away within the 100 block of Sixth Street.

" A short time later police received information that a party had been shot within the 200 block of Deacon Street, approximately 1 city block from the Bunnel Street location," the Bridgeport Police Department announced in a written statement. "Patrol Officers arriving in the area observed a large crowd within the 300 block of Bunnel Street. Officers searched and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound on the front porch of a home located within the 200 block of Deacon Street."
Police identified the victim as a 15-year-old Bridgeport boy, who remains hospitalized in critical condition.

"While Officers were securing the crime scene on Deacon Street, a 16-year-old Bridgeport teen presented at an area hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the foot," the police department announced. "The preliminary investigation indicates there was a large house party within the 300 block of Bunnell Street prior to the shootings. It has been determined the 16-year-old victim was also shot while in the general area of the Bunnell Street party."
According to police, crime scenes were ultimately located and secured on Bunnel Street, Deacon Street, Holly Street, and Sixth Street.
Throughout the last 24 hours, detectives found several items of evidence, completed several interviews, canvassed the area, and are continuing to document their investigation.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
