BRIDGEPORT, CT — A local police officer is being accused of using excessive force after a violent video surfaced of her punching a teenager following a car accident Friday night, reports the Connecticut Post. Christina Arroyo was seen punching Aaron Kearney, a recent Harding High School graduate and football team captain, several times in the face.
Kearney, 18, was treated for abrasions on his neck, face and lip. In her addendum to the main report on the incident, Arroyo said she feared for her safety as well as the safety of her fellow officers.
The teen was charged with breach of peace and assault on a police officer after the incident, and Arroyo claimed Kearney was actively concealing a firearm. The teen's family said Sunday that Kearney never had trouble with polcie before.
