Bridgeport Fire Department Responds To Structure Fire

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a structure fire located in the 500 block of East Main Street at approximately 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, fire officials said.

Upon arrival, units discovered a small fire in the basement which was quickly extinguished, officials said. The gas company was requested, and the Fire Marshal’s office is investigating. No reported injuries and no displacements.
