Bridgeport PD Arrest Suspect in City Hall Threat On Unrelated Warrant

Bridgeport Police arrested a man earlier this week.

Bridgeport, CT - Bridgeport Police arrested one man on a warrant on Wednesday night.

Police Captian Brian Fitzgerald said in a statement that BPD arrested Marvin Owens at 1064 Iranistan Avenue on a warrant for assault (third) and threatening, "stemming from a domestic violence incident earlier this year."

Owens is a suspect in Wednesday's threat incident at city hall, he said.

"We obtained cellphone records for three phones that Owens owns, interviewed his estranged wife and his brother, and obtained and reviewed the 911 recordings from today's call to dispatch," Fitzgerald said. "Unfortunately at this time, we do not have probable cause to charge him with any crimes concerning today's incident."

Police processed Owens and released him on a $500 bond related to the warrant charges.

"He denies any involvement in the call placed to dispatch," the captain stated.
