Fire Damages 3 Businesses In Bridgeport: Fire Officials

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three businesses in the 1800 block of Main Street in Bridgeport were damaged in a fire early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

No injuries were reported in the 5:30 a.m. blaze at the single-story commercial building, where firefighters saw heavy smoke when they arrived on-scene.

"An aggressive fire attack commenced and was fully knocked down at 6:45am," a spokesperson wrote in a statement.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office.
