Investigation Underway In Bridgeport Of Police Incident: Report

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An investigation has been launched by Bridgeport police, after a video posted on social media appears to show a physical interaction between an officer and a possible suspect, the Connecticut Post reported.

The short clip appears to show a Bridgeport officer harshly throw the suspect to the pavement. The video was shot from a moving vehicle.

According to Bridgeport's Public Information Officer Shawnna White, the officers in the video are Francis Santoro, Marco Giacobbe and Wilberto Rivera-Colon, with Santoro appearing to throw the suspect to the ground.

Members of the department's Internal Affairs division are reportedly conducting the investigation into the incident, which occurred on Tuesday at the intersection of Boston Avenue and East Main Street.
