Man Ejected From Pickup Truck On I-95 In Bridgeport: State Police

The crash closed I-95 South at Exit 27.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A city man was thrown from his vehicle after a crash on I-95 South in Bridgeport Tuesday morning. State police say Jose Cupertino Lopez-Siquiej, 54, was seriously injured after his Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with another vehicle just north of Exit 27A.

Police say Lopez-Siquiej was trying to change lanes when he struck the other vehicle. His truck then lost control, rolled over onto its roof before it struck a concrete barrier and rolled back on to its four tires.

Lopez-Siquiej was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Saint Vincent's Hospital for treatment.

The other driver was not injured in the crash, which occurred at a tapered construction pattern which closed the left and center lanes of I-95 south.
