Obituary: Arthur L. Delally Jr., 79, of Bridgeport
Arthur was a proud patrolman for the Bridgeport Police Department for many years and was a devoted member of numerous organizations.
BRIDGEPORT, CT - (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home) Arthur L. Delally Jr., 79, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Barbara Stodolski Delally, passed away on Sunday March 6, 2022 at St. Vincent Medical Center.
Born in Bridgeport, his was the son of the late Arthur L. Delally Sr. and Marion Dinan Delally.
Arthur was a patrolman for the Bridgeport Police Department for 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed telling stories about his days on the force.
Arthur was a member of the Connecticut Hurricanes.
He was a member of the National Guard and the Police Benevolent Association. Arthur was an avid fan of UCONN Womens Basketball and fan of NASCAR.
He loved playing baseball with his co-workers on the force and trips to Maine with his family.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his cousin, Patricia Flynn of Danbury.
He was predeceased by his son, Nicholas and his daughter Danielle.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
