Obituary: Robert N. Ramos, 74, of Bridgeport
Bob, a quiet, generous man with a huge heart, worked many years for the City of Bridgeport Parks Department.

BRIDGEPORT, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Robert N. Ramos, age 74, of Bridgeport, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital.
Bob was born in Bridgeport to the late Jack and Gilda (Mauro) Ramos. He was retired from the City of Bridgeport Parks Department. He was once the Elephant trainer at the Beardsley Zoo and was commonly known around Bridgeport as the “Elephant Man”.
Bob loved going to classic car cruises with his friends from the club Cruisin’ East.
He was a quiet, generous man with a huge heart.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Ramos Jr. of Bridgeport, Brian Ramos and his wife Julianne of Milford, and Daniel Ramos (Bianca) of West Haven; their mother Ellen Bean of West Haven and granddaughter Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene Mauro, Anthony Ramos and his sister Madeline Baril.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 4 - 7 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
A prayer service will begin at 5 pm. Interment will be private. Masks are required. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to FeedingAmerica.org.
