In my time working with him through various events from We the People competitions to professional development seminars to further our knowledge in American History, I have witnessed his remarkable dedication and passion for teaching American history to the young minds of our inner-city community. He is not just an exceptional educator; he is an inspiration to his students, fellow teachers, and the broader school community. His approach to teaching American history is dynamic, engaging, and leaves a lasting impact on his students. He has an innate ability to make historical events come alive, providing his students with a deeper understanding of our nation's history, values, and the sacrifices that have shaped our country. Erik is the heart and soul of Park City Magnet, a school that he has spent seventeen years giving his all to each and every student in front of him.
