Canton-Based Autism Agency Hosting Special Fundraiser Friday

The FOCUS Center for Autism is hosting a fun and educational 'Art for Autism' program on Friday, April 4, with the public invited.

CANTON, CT — A local organization dedicated to helping people with autism is hosting a fundraising event Friday that promises to be both artistic and inspirational.

The FOCUS Center for Autism, located at 126 Dowd Ave., Canton, is hosting "Art for Autism" on Friday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There, the community is invited to stop by and take part in a large art project in which the community can customize puzzle pieces to become part of a large puzzle.

Puzzle pieces are the official logo linked to autism and autism research.

Guests will show up and purchase a puzzle piece for anywhere from $20 to $250, with pieces varying in size.

Then, people can decorate those puzzle pieces to create their own design or company logo.

Those pieces will then be used as part of a large, community art project that involves a VW bug.

In addition t art, guests on Friday can enjoy ice cream, music, and all sorts of giveaways.

The FOCUS Center for Autism is a nonprofit agency/facility that serves clients with autism, helping them as they navigate their lives.
