• Dumping Your Christmas Tree In Canton, What You Need To Know (patch.com) — Canton residents have several free options to get rid of their natural Christmas trees this season. The Department of Public Works will collect trees placed by the roadside by January 11, 2026, with pickup starting January 12, weather permitting, and residents can also drop trees at the transfer station at no charge through the end of January.
   

• Well-Known Canton Chain Restaurant Closes: Report (patch.com) — A popular 110 Grill location at the Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton has quietly closed and is no longer listed on the company’s website. Opened in 2020 during the pandemic, it was the chain’s first Connecticut restaurant, leaving Southington and Manchester as the remaining in-state locations.
