• Canton Responders Getting Busier And Busier (patch.com) — Canton’s Fire & EMS Department just logged a record 1,899 calls in 2025, up from 1,863 in 2024 and far above 2013 levels. Local firefighters say they’re meeting the community’s growing needs with professionalism and pride, and they’re thanking volunteers for keeping up with the rising demand.
   

• Plainville industrial building sells for $2.7M (hartfordbusiness.com subscription) — Canton residents Steven, Raymond, and Jaclyn Roux have sold a fully leased 36,000-square-foot industrial building in nearby Plainville for $2.7 million, according to state records. The Johnson Avenue property, bought by the Roux family in 2009, remains occupied by two tenants and was acquired by a Stratford-based real estate company.
