CANTON, CT — The Town of Canton Fire &amp; EMS Department reported a record-breaking year in 2025 as far as calls are concerned.According to the department, 2025 had 1,899 calls for service (either accidents or fires, etc.).This compares to 1,863 in 2024 and just 1,068 in 2013.Needless to say, Canton firefighters have been getting busier and busier in recent years, according to the numbers."As we wrap up our 2025 call volume numbers, it marks another busy year with an increase in calls for the Town of Canton Fire &amp; EMS," wrote the department on Wednesday. "Our members continue to respond to more calls year after year, meeting the growing needs of our community with professionalism, dedication, and pride.
