Sweetheart Dance to Take Place at Canton Intermediate School Saturday

Girl scouts from Canton Troop 66810 present the 19th annual Sweetheart Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at the Canton Intermediate School.

This dance is open to all girls in grades Kindergarten through grade 6, and their fathers; grandfathers or other special male escort. This event is one of the highlights for young girls, as they have so much fun at this event, and it gives them something so exciting to look forward to. There is a nice assortment of games as well as frame decorating and face painting for the girls to do, as well as  dancing to the DJ's music in the gym, and the very popular Sweetheart Boutique.

This is the second year, Troop 66810 has organized the event. Troop leaders said it's not only a fun one for participants but also a great learning experience. 

"I like the fact that the girls develop a way to plan a big event," said Ingrid Campbell. 

Tickets can be purchased at the door. Cost is $25 per couple.
