A Plantsville resident won $50,000 on a Powerball ticket that was sold at Gulf at 1123 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike in Cheshire, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
