A Ukrainian with family overseas, Nikanova has spent the past year dedicating her spare time to supporting her loved ones and her country, all from the Cheshire Academy campus. And now, she has something big planned.
On the evening of Friday, April 14, Nikanova is holding A Night for Kyiv, a concert and fundraising event, on the Cheshire Academy campus. The fundraiser will feature talented performances, singing and dancing acts, traditional Ukrainian baked goods, and a lively atmosphere. Performances include members of the Cheshire Academy community and other professional musicians from the region.

“The war impacts every single Ukrainian in unspeakable ways, yet we keep getting stronger by the day,” Nikanova said. “In this past year, I understood that with enough effort, even one person can change millions of lives. By attending this concert and supporting Ukraine, I call all of you to be that person!”
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Leleka Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that procures and distributes medical supplies to paramedics, emergency crews, and hospitals in Ukraine.
More information about A Night for Kyiv can be found on the Eventbrite webpage.
