Cheshire National Guard Soldier Receives New Rank
The promotion, which includes a new rank and new responsibilities, was recently announced.
CHESHIRE, CT — (Contributed): Major General Ray Shields, the adjutant general for the state of New York, announces the recent promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
Jazaiah Bermudez, from Cheshire, and assigned to the Company B, 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Regiment, received a promotion to the rank of specialist on Feb. 19.
Army National Guard promotions are based on a Soldier's overall performance, demonstrated leadership abilities, professionalism and future development potential.
