[UPDATE] Cheshire Police Officer Back in Court Today
Officer Thomas Wright in pretrial hearing today in Waterbury Superior Court

A pre-trail hearing is scheduled today for Cheshire police officer Thomas Wright who pleaded not guilty in mid-October to charges of stealing a dog, obstructing an animal control officer in Naugatuck and fourth-degree larceny. The charges are all misdemeanors.
At the October hearing, Superior Court Judge Richard A. Damiani told Wright to give a dog back to its owners and return to court today.
Wright was placed on desk duty following the criminal charges, according to the Cheshire Police Department.
