The calendar date read Friday, October 13, 2023. Nothing bad happened on this day, just good fortune for the Cheshire High School Rams Boys Cross Country Team. They won first place at a home meet at Cheshire Park against Lyman Hall High School of Wallingford on Friday, October 13th. The score was CHS 21 Lyman Hall 34. The team’s regular season record is 9-1.
Head Coach Pam Gunneson stated, “The boys ran an excellent race and were able to defeat Lyman Hall even though James Boyd and Hanan Talipan Pinedo from our top 5 runners didn't race today. They did great. Daniel D’Souza, Tyler Caron, James Boyd and Jack Lengyel are all coming within 40 seconds of each other. Hanan, Brian and Zack have closed their gap from the front finishers by 30 seconds and will enable the team to experience much success.” She also singled out Quad Captain & Senior Tyler Caron by stating, “Tyler is getting his rhythm back.”
